Best NHL Odds for Every Playoff Game Today (Odds, Puck Lines and Totals for Monday, April 17)
Strap in, the NHL Playoffs are here!
The best postseason in sports starts tonight with four Game 1s taking place across the league.
Islanders vs. Hurricanes Odds
Things get started off with an Eastern Conference matchup at 7pm et between the New York Islanders and Carolina Hurricanes.
The Hurricanes won the Metropolitan Division, and will now take on the top wild card team in the Islanders. Carolina was consistently one of the best analytical teams in the NHL this season, and now we'll see if that can translate to the postseason. The 'Canes are set as sizable favorites in Game 1.
Panthers vs. Bruins odds
The Presidents Trophy winning Boston Bruins will play against the Florida Panthers in the second game of the night. They'll do their best to break the Presidents Trophy curse, as no team with the best regular season record has even reached the Conference Finals since 2014-2015.
No Presidents Trophy winner has won the Stanley Cup since 2012-2013. Even with that being the case, the Bruins are massive favorites in Game 1 tonight.
Wild vs. Stars odds
Western Conference action will get kicked off at 9:30 p.m. EST when the No. 2 and No. 3 teams in the Central Division, the Minnesota Wild and Dallas Stars, throw down. The Wild will try to create some offense in order to match the Stars ability. Dallas had the best goal differential in the conference this season.
Kings vs. Oilers odds
The best player in the NHL and now three time Hart Trophy winner, Connor McDavid, will once again start a playoff run in an attempt to win his first Stanley Cup. The Edmonton Oilers and Los Angeles Kings will battle it out in a showdown between the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds in the Pacific Division.
The Oilers are favorites to get off to a 1-0 win.
