Best NHL Odds for Every Playoff Game Today (Odds, Puck Lines and Totals for Wednesday, April 19)
The opening game in each series of the first round of the NHL Playoffs is in the books.
Game 2's are set to begin tonight, with four games set to take place across the league once again.
Just like Monday night, the New York Islanders and Carolina Hurricanes will get things started off at 7 p.m. EST. The Hurricanes won the first game of the series, snagging a narrow 2-1 victory. The Islanders will try to even things up as they head back to New York for Game 3.
The Hurricanes are sizable favorites in Game 2 tonight.
Puck drop for the Eastern Conference matchup is set for 7:30 p.m. EST. The Boston Bruins coasted to a 3-1 victory in Game 1 as they're trying to avoid the Presidents Trophy curse. if the Panthers don't win tonight, they're going to be behind the 8 ball trying to come back from a 2-0 deficit against the best regular season team in hockey.
The Bruins are once against set as massive favorites.
The Dallas Stars and Minnesota Wild played a marathon of a Game 1, playing into double overtime before the Wild finally broke the tie. Remember, overtime periods in the NHL are a full 20 minutes, so these two teams played a game and a half worth of hockey on Monday.
The Stars will desperately try to even the series before it heads to Minnesota for the next two games. They're betting favorites to do exactly that.
The final game of the night will be Game 2 between the Edmonton Oilers and Los Angeles Kings. The Oilers largely dominated the game, but allowed three third period goals and Los Angeles went on to win in overtime.
The series went to Game 7 last year and I wouldn't be shocked if that's where it ends up again in 2023. The Oilers are big favorites to even it up at 1-1 tonight.
Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
