Best NHL Odds for Every Playoff Game Today (Odds, Puck Lines and Totals for Friday, April 28)
For what will likely be the last time this NHL postseason, we have four games to watch and bet on Friday night.
The Carolina Hurricanes return to New York to take on the Islanders in Game 6 after failing to close out the series at home in Game 5. The Hurricanes are missed injured Teuvo Teräväinen and will need to find a way to penetrate the defense of the Isles if they want to avoid a Game 7.
The Islanders are slight favorites to get the job done and force a winner-take-all Game 7 back in Carolina.
The Boston Bruins are in a similar spot as the Carolina Hurricanes after failing to put away the Florida Panthers at home in Game 5 with a 3-1 series lead. After dominating the Panthers for the entire game, a bad turnover in their own end resulted in giving up the game winner in overtime.
Now, the two teams will face-off back in Florida in Game 6 and if the Panthers win, they'll return to Boston for Game 7. With that being said, the Bruins are sizable favorites to get the job done tonight.
The Dallas Stars are the third team tonight that has a chance to close out their series and advance to the next round. After taking the 3-2 series lead with a 4-0 shutout win in Game 5, the Stars now have a chance to close out the Wild in Minnesota.
If Minnesota wants any chance of surviving this series, the Wild desperately need to stay out of the penalty box. No team in the first round has scored more powerplay goals than the Stars, notching nine through the first five games.
The Stars are very slight underdogs to avoid a Game 7 and end it all tonight.
The final game of the night will see the defending Stanley Cup champions, the Colorado Avalanche, try to fight back from a 3-2 series defeict against a team making their playoff debut as a franchise.
The Avalanche have dropped two straight games to the Seattle Kraken, and now the Kraken are the only team tonight that can close out their series at home. They've received great goaltending from Philipp Grubauer, which has given them a chance to pull off the biggest upset of the first round.
Oddsmakers still have them set as underdogs to close out their series. We may see a Game 7 back in Colorado.
Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
