There are only six games on the MLB schedule today. Not much to pick from for our No Run First Inning and Yes Run First Inning bets today, but that doesn’t mean we won’t find you value out there. This is the perfect day for first inning bets if you want to get a little extra action on a light MLB slate, or if you want to be able to flip over to the football games once it kicks off. So, let’s get to it.

Best NRFI Bet Today

Marlins vs. Phillies -142 and White Sox vs. Athletics -148 (Parlayed to +185)

We are doing something a little bit different today because there are so many aces pitching in such a small number of games, and we have a lot of low totals. Sandy Alcantara is going for Miami and he has been shaky lately, but is due for a good start and even when he does struggle it isn’t early. Plus Miami’s offense is flat out awful over the past two weeks, by far the worst in the MLB.

Dylan Cease is pitching for the White Sox and nearly threw a no-hitter last time out. He will take care of the A’s and I like JP Sears and his 2.37 ERA to be able to get through the top of the White Sox order at least the first time around.

I didn’t find a ton of value on these bets individually because the total in these games are just too low, so instead I thought we could do a little parlay to spice things up a bit.

Best YRFI Bet Today

Nationals vs. Cardinals -102

This is all based around Josiah Gray pitching for the Nationals tonight. Adam Wainwright will have his way with a young inexperienced Washington lineup, but Gray is going to have problems against the Cardinals hitters. Gray has a 7.50 ERA in the first inning and with Arenado and Goldschmidt on deck that ERA will go up after today.
