Best NRFI and YRFI Bets Today (Clayton Kershaw Remains 1st Inning King)
We finally made it. Today is the final day of the MLB regular season.
To celebrate the end of the season, let's cash a couple of first inning bets. NRFI and YRFI are simple, you either need no runs to be scored in the first inning to cash your NRFI bet, or at least one run to be scored to cash you YRFI bet.
So, without further delay, here are my best NRFI and YRFI bets for today's regular season finale.
Best NRFI Bet Today
Rockies vs. Dodgers NRFI (-130)
Anytime Clayton Kershaw is pitching the NRFI is likely a good bet. In 21 games started this season, Kershaw has only allowed two earned runs in the first inning. That's good for a first inning ERA of 0.86. Doesn't get much better than that. Rockies starter, Austin Gomber, has also been surprisingly strong in the first inning. He has a first inning ERA of 3.94, which is pretty good for a Rockies pitcher that has to deal with Coors Field.
I love the NRFI in this spot at -130.
Rays vs. Red Sox YRFI (-102)
The pitching matchup in this final meeting between two AL East teams leaves a lot to be desired. Josh Fleming of the Rays enters the game with a 6.23 ERA and Nick Pivetta of the Red Sox sports an ERA of 4.56.
Fleming has only started two games for the Red Sox, and he's already allowed four earned runs in the first inning. Pivetta's 1st inning ERA is also pretty bad. He's allowed 19 earned runs in 32 starts for a 1st inning ERA of 5.34.
The YRFI at -102 in this game is a great bet to place for the final day of regular season action.
