First of all, I want to apologize to all of the strictly baseball fans out there because I’ve talked about football a lot in my Underdog of the Day and No Run First Inning and Yes Run First Inning picks.

At the same time, if you’re not also watching football right now, you're missing out!

Let’s be honest, we all want to know what Russell Wilson’s return to Seattle will look like tonight, so let’s hit the drive-thru of MLB bets. Just like picking up some McDonald’s on the way home from work when you’re in a rush.

The NRFI and YRFI bets are perfect for today. We can hit the baseball games, make our money in the first inning, and then turn it over to Joe Buck and Troy Aikman on ESPN.

Best NRFI Bet Today

Angels vs. Guardians NRFI -113

I am all in on this game and have it bet three different ways now. I love the NRFI bet here as long as Mike Trout doesn’t go yard in his first at-bat. He is hot right now, but I think the fact that these are two of the four worst offenses in baseball against lefties will win out.

The Angels are 26th in OPS facing left-handers and the Guardians are 29th. If this game blows up in my face I’m willing to go down with the ship cause I think there is so much value here.

Best YRFI Bet Today

Rays vs. Blue Jays YRFI -125

Jose Berrios is starting for the Blue Jays today and that is reason enough to target a game for a YRFI bet. Berrios has a 5.23 ERA on the year and has allowed 14 earned runs in the first inning this year which is good for a 4.78 ERA. Somehow that is slightly better than his other numbers but is still awful.

What makes this game even juicier is Cooper Criswell. Criswell has pitched 1.1 innings in his entire MLB career. Those four outs came in August of 2021 and he allowed three earned runs on the way to getting them.
