Best NRFI and YRFI bets today (Back Atlanta's unreal first inning offense)

Here are my favorite first inning over/under 0.5 run bets for the night of Tuesday July 18.

It’s a big night of MLB games as the second half of the season is in full swing.

It’s the perfect kind of Tuesday night that could be spiced up a little bit by winning a bet in the early evening before the sun has even set.

That’s what we do here at No Run First Inning and Yes Run First Inning.

Here are my favorite first inning over/under bets for Tuesday’s slate of games.

Best NRFI bet today

Lucas Giolito and Carlos Carrasco will be on the mound for this one and that’s not exactly good news for this No Run First Inning bet.

Giolito has an ERA of 5.68 in the first inning and Carrasco is at 7.50.

However, the reason we’re taking the under 0.5 is because of these offenses early in games. This is a perfect matchup for NRFI all series.

The New York Mets are the worst offense in terms of first inning runs per game at 0.28, and the Chicago White Sox are 28th at 0.39.

I’ll happily take this bet especially with pretty good odds because of those pitchers’ struggles.

Best YRFI bet today

Well, the odds here aren’t the best, but if you have a big night of MLB bets like I do it could be nice to just see one go through the hoop.

The Atlanta Braves are the No. 1 team in terms of first inning offense averaging 1.03 first inning runs per game. That’s a pretty incredible stat and is far and away the best. The Arizona Diamondbacks are seventh at 0.61.

The Atlanta offense isn’t the only reason for this bet. The Braves have Bryce Elder on the mound and he allowed seven runs over 3.1 last trip to the mound.

He has a sky high FIP compared to his ERA and I think another rough outing is in store.
