I went a combined 2-4 with my first two NRFI bets last week, so I'm expanding this article to now include at least YRFI bet as well.

In case you're wondering, YRFI stands for "Yes Runs First Inning," which is obviously the opposite of "No Runs First Inning." For YRFI, if at least one run is scored in the first, it's a winner.

Let's dive into my top three NRFI and YRFI for Monday, April 25th.

All odds listed below are via WynnBET Sportsbook.

Top NRFI and YRFI Bets for April 25th

Red Sox vs. Blue Jays NRFI (-110)

Jose Berrios hasn't got off to the hot start he was hoping for this season, but I have faith he'll turn things around sooner rather than later. The Red Sox rank 22nd in OPS this season, so what better time to get hot than against a below average Boston offense.

Red Sox starter Nathan Eovaldi has gotten off to a better start this year with a 3.68 ERA. It's a little bit more of a risky bet compared to some other games on the board tonight, but the -110 odds makes it too tempting to pass up.

Mets vs. Cardinals NRFI (-145)

Sure, it's a bit chalky, but Max Scherzer is taking the mound for the Mets which makes me extremely confident that his half of the first inning should remain scoreless.

He'll be facing Miles Mikolas, who I'm a big fan of, and he's got off to a hot start this season with a 1.76 ERA. He'll be facing a Mets offense that ranks 18th in first inning runs, averaging just 0.41.

Guardians vs. Angels YRFI (-110)

No team in Major League Baseball is scoring more runs in the first inning than the Angels, who are averaging 1.38. The Guardians are close behind, ranking sixth at 0.73. The two teams also rank third and fourth in OPS this season.

Sure, it's tough to bet against Shane Bieber, who will be getting the start for the Guardians, but Angels starter Michael Lorenzen has a subpar ERA of 4.82. I think this is a good spot to bet on a run being scored in the first inning.
