Week 8 of the NFL promises to be jam-packed with action. While you probably already have a few spread bets placed, you might as well add a few player props to the mix.

I already broke down my favorite touchdown props for Sunday's slate, check out my article here for those picks.

Here, we're going to take a look at my favorite over/under yardage props across the league. All odds listed are via WynnBET Sportsbook.

Top Player Props for NFL Week 8

  • Cooper Kupp OVER 97.5 Receiving Yards -115
  • Justin Fields UNDER 188.5 Passing Yards -115
  • Jalen Hurts OVER 255.5 Passing Yards -115
  • Damien Harris OVER 70.5 Rushing Yards -115
  • James Robinson OVER 73.5 Rushing Yards -115

Cooper Kupp OVER 97.5 Receiving Yards -115

The MVP award is almost guaranteed to go to a quarterback, but if there was a non-QB MVP award then Cooper Kupp might be the winner of it through the first seven weeks of the season. He leads the NFL in receiving yards with 809, and his connection with Matthew Stafford has been something to behold.

He's averaging 115.6 receiving yards per game, and now he's set to go up against a Houston Texans defense that ranks 29th in opponent yards per pass attempt (8.0). The only concern you might have with this bet is that the Rams get up by so much that they either sit their starters, or decide to keep the ball on the ground in the second half.

Justin Fields UNDER 188.5 Passing Yards -115

There are so many reasons to like this bet. First of all, Fields has only surpassed this number once this season and it came against the worst passing defense in the NFL in the Detroit Lions. Detroit is dead last in opponent yards per pass attempt at 8.9, whereas the 49ers rank sixth in that statistic at 6.3. Fields still only threw for 209 yards in the Week 4 game against the Lions.

Furthermore, the Bears run the ball at a high rate which means Fields will have a limited amount of opportunities to throw the ball. They're third in the NFL in rushing play percentage at 49.63%, behind only the Saints (52.97%) and the Browns (49.89%).

I'd be surprised if Fields surpasses this number against a stout 49ers pass defense.

Jalen Hurts OVER 255.5 Passing Yards -115

Like I just mentioned in the above section about Justin Fields, the Detroit Lions have the worst passing defense in the NFL. While ranking only 22nd in opponent passing yards per game (263), they're dead last in opponent yards per pass attempt at 8.9. This is mainly due to teams turning to the run game in the second half to protect their lead against the winless Lions.

While you may think of the Eagles as a run-first team, that's not necessarily the case. They rank 14th in the NFL in pass play percentage, with 61.05% of their called plays being drop backs. Hurts will have no shortage of opportunities to torch this Detroit secondary.

Damien Harris OVER 70.5 Rushing Yards -115

If Bill Belichick is smart, and I believe that he is, he'll pound the rock against the Chargers all game. Los Angeles ranks dead last in the NFL in opponent yards per carry, allowing teams to gain an average of 5.4 yards per rush against them.

Harris has surpassed 70.5 rushing yards in three games already this season, and he's coming off two straight 100 yard+ performances while averaging 7.6 yards per carry against the Jets and 5.6 yards per carry against the Cowboys. As long as Belichick feeds him the rock, Harris should have no issue reaching this total.

James Robinson OVER 73.5 Rushing Yards -115

This may come as a surprise to you, but the 1-5 Jaguars are second in the NFL in yards per carry, averaging 5.2 yards per rush. Now they face a Seahawks team that is average at best at stopping the run. They rank 15th in opponent yards per carry at 4.2.

The Jaguars are also starting to run the ball more often. Their season average for rushing play percentage is 38.42%, but that number has gone up to 43.72% over their last three games.

James Robinson has surpassed this number in three of his six games this season, and his latest start finished right at 73 rushing yards. Now that Urban Meyer trusts him enough to increase his work load, I think he'll reach his total in Week 8.
