The Houston Astros could close things out once and for all tonight. This could be our last baseball game to gamble on until the spring. I know I’m going to miss it while it’s gone. I’m hoping for a Game 7 but just in case, let’s load up on some prop bets and I’ll tell you how I’m betting the first inning of World Series Game 6 in Houston.

Best NRFI/YRFI Bet Today

Yes Run First Inning (+116)

Zack Wheeler and Framber Valdez were both great in the first inning during the season and have pitched well in the postseason, but the books continue to leave too much value on YRFI bets in the postseason. The YRFI has cashed in three of the five games this series including Game 2 when Wheeler and Valdez took the mound.

Offense has been hard to come by for the Phillies, but with Kyle Schwarber leading off there is always a threat of a solo homer. On the other side, the top of the Houston lineup has been fantastic in the World Series. In Game 5 alone, Jose Altuve and Jeremy Pena combined for five hits and three runs scored.

Best Prop Bets for World Series Game 6

  • Zack Wheeler Over 15.5 Pitching Outs (+110)
  • Jose Altuve Over 0.5 Home Runs (+700)

Zack Wheeler Over 15.5 Pitching Outs (+110)

Wheeler did not pitch well in his last outing, Game 2 of the World Series in Houston and he still made it five innings. He was just one out shy of hitting this total. Rob Thompson is going to have a quick hook at the first sign of trouble in this elimination game, but Wheeler has a 2.67 ERA in the postseason even after allowing four earned over five innings last time out. The Phillies have their backs up against the wall and they need Wheeler to come through.

Jose Altuve Over 0.5 Home Runs (+700)

Altuve was slumping badly this postseason and Game 2 of the World Series against Zack Wheeler is what got him out of it for good. He has seven hits in the World Series after just having three across the ALDS and ALCS. Altuve is second all-time in postseason homers with 23 and has yet to go deep, but it feels like only a matter of time until he really puts his mark on this series.
