Best Prop Bets for 49ers vs. Panthers for NFL Week 5 (San Fran Gets Kittle Going in Carolina)
By Josh Yourish
The 49ers have been in primetime two weeks in a row, but Week 5 they get a bit of a reprieve against Carolina. Maybe it’s a letdown spot after a big Monday Night win or maybe San Francisco proves they are one of the league's best teams with a dominant win. Either way, there are a few trends that stick out to target in the prop market this week. Here are my three favorites.
Best Prop Bets for 49ers vs. Panthers
- Christian McCaffrey Under 50.5 Rush Yards (-115)
- DJ Moore Under 50.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
- George Kittle Anytime Touchdown +200
Christian McCaffrey Under 50.5 Rush Yards (-115)
You simply cannot run the ball on the San Francisco 49ers. They have one of the best running schemes on offense and the best run defense. They have only allowed 293 rush yards all year good for just 2.9 yards per carry, best in the NFL. McCaffrey has not really been the same this season and only had 27 yards on the ground against Arizona last week.
DJ Moore Under 50.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
The Panthers offense is just a total disaster. They have playmakers, but whether it’s because of Ben McAdoo or Baker Mayfield, they aren’t able to get those talented guys the ball in space to make plays. McCaffrey is healthy, but having a down year and DJ Moore has 138 yards in four games. His season high is 50 yards last week against Arizona.
George Kittle Anytime Touchdown +200
We know that George Kittle is one of the best run blockers in the NFL. Not just one of the best run blocking tight ends, but one of the best run blockers period. Even he has to get tired of just blocking for other guys and has to want the ball eventually. If Kyle Shanahan is smart, I think he will use this game against a bad Carolina team to get Kittle the ball and keep him happy.
