Best Prop Bets for Bengals vs. Ravens for NFL Week 5 (Expect Burrow to Ball in Baltimore)
By Josh Yourish
Last year the Bengals put 82 points on the Ravens in their two matchups, so this one could get high scoring in Baltimore on Sunday Night Football. We’ve had a few ugly games in primetime lately, but this one will not disappoint. A high scoring game always brings exciting prop bets, so maybe there is value on the overs this week.
Best Prop Bets for Bengals vs. Ravens
- Joe Burrow Over 273.5 Pass Yards
- Lamar Jackson Over 57.5 Rush Yards
- Tee Higgins Anytime Touchdown +175
Joe Burrow Over 273.5 Pass Yards
Joe Burrow faced the Ravens defense twice last year and absolutely diced them up. He had 525 passing yards in the second matchup a season ago, but I will grant that the Ravens secondary was severely depleted.
Maybe the first matchup will be more instructive, all he did in that game was throw for 416 yards and three touchdowns. He seems to have their number and I think that will carry over even with a new defensive coordinator in Baltimore.
Lamar Jackson Over 57.5 Rush Yards
Lamar is going to have to do everything to keep pace with Burrow. The Bengals have Jamar Chase, Tee Higgins, Joe Mixon, and Tyler Boyd as options for their QB, but Baltimore relies more on their tight ends and Rashod Bateman is their primary outside threat. Bateman is out with an injury leaving Devin Duvernay as the No. 1 receiver and No. 2 options behind Mark Andrews.
Lamar might look downfield and see nobody open pretty often this week and eventually he’ll decide to tuck it and run.
Tee Higgins Anytime Touchdown +175
Jamar Chase is the name everyone thinks of when it comes to Bengals receivers, but Tee Higgins is first in yardage with 315 receiving yards this year. Chase has more catches and targets, but we saw Miami beat the Ravens defense deep and Higgins is the true deep threat this season. Chase averages 11.7 yards per reception and Higgins is up to 15.8. Burrow is always going to take shots down the field and if they can connect on one deep shot it’ll probably turn into a touchdown.
