Mike McDaniel is the next “it” coach in the NFL and after getting his team to 8-3 he will have his biggest test, coaching against his former mentor, Kyle Shanahan. The Miami Dolphins are one of the most electric offenses in the NFL and they’re facing the NFL’s No. 1 defense. Will San Fran shut down Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle or will the Miami speedsters turn the game into a track meet?

In the modern NFL offense is king, so this game could turn high scoring and make the prop market even more fun for one of the most exciting games of the NFL season.

Best NFL Prop Bets for Dolphins vs. 49ers

  • Jeff Wilson Jr. Under 44.5 rush yards (-116)
  • Tyreek Hill Over 89.5 Receiving Yards (-112)
  • Jauan Jennings Anytime TD +300

Jeff Wilson Jr. Under 44.5 rush yards (-116)

McDaniel has done a nice job of adapting the Shanahan run game to a shotgun style that suits Tua and the weapons in Miami, but the run game was non-existent last week. They only ran for 66 yards against the worst run D in the NFL, Houston and now are against the best. Jeff Wilson Jr. is the lead back for the Dolphins, but he won’t get a lot of touches and I don’t expect him to have success with the touches he does get.

Tyreek Hill Over 89.5 Receiving Yards (-112)

The 49ers have the best defense in the league, but that doesn’t mean they’ll have an answer for Tyreek Hill. Nobody in the league has been able to shut him down this year and the corners are the weakness of this San Francisco defense. Even just one screen pass is enough for Hill to go over 90 receiving yards, that's how dynamic he is and in a big game, McDaniel will have creative ways to get him the ball.

Jauan Jennings Anytime TD +300

Jennings has just one touchdown on the year and it came last week, so maybe I’m chasing with this pick, but I think he is emerging in this offense. Jennings is the big bodied target on the outside that is their go-to on third downs and I think Garoppolo will start to rely on him more in the red zone. I could be chasing, but seven targets last week is enough for me to see value here.
