The Wild Card round has been a great little treat so far. Games going on all day is a gamblers paradise. I love the new setup and let’s not just take advantage of it with picks on the games, let’s get some prop action too. I’ve dug up the very best props, one from each game today, just for you. Enjoy.

Best Prop Bets for MLB Wild Card Game 2

  • Tyler Glasnow Under 5.5 Strikeouts (-142)
  • Teoscar Hernandez to Hit a HR (+350)
  • Jacob deGrom Over 8.5 Strikeouts (+114)
  • Kyle Schwarber 2+ Total Bases (+115)

Tyler Glasnow Under 5.5 Strikeouts (-142)

Glasnow has made two starts this year in his return from injury and has not gone past the fourth inning. I’m sure he’s ramped up some in the postseason, but I don’t expect him to take the mound past the fourth and definitely not past the fifth.

That just isn’t enough time to record six strikeouts against this Cleveland lineup that is very old school. They make contact and don’t strike out. They struck out the least in the league this year and yesterday McClanahan went seven innings and only struck out five.

Teoscar Hernandez to Hit a HR +350

There are a lot of power bats in this Toronto lineup and sometimes Hernandez gets lost in the shuffle. He should not be forgotten today with the heavily right-handed lineup facing Robbie Ray. Hernandez had a .978 OPS against lefties this season and hit a team leading eight home runs.

Jacob deGrom Over 8.5 Strikeouts (+114)

The Mets have their back against the wall after Max Scherzer got shelled in Game 1 and now deGrom has to try to save their season in Game 2. He’s the most dominant pitcher in baseball and has been as long as he’s been healthy for some time.

He has made 11 starts this season and even with somewhat of an innings limit when he first returned he still have gone over 8.5 strikeouts in eight of those 11 starts. Now he knows he has to step up and I bet Buck Showalter will trust him to get out of any mess he does make.

Kyle Schwarber 2+ Total Bases (+115)

The Phillies have seen Miles Mikolas once this year and in that game, Schwarber got two hits from the leadoff spot. I’m sure he’ll be happy to see a righty on the mound after yesterday when Jose Quintana pitched a gem. Schwarber has been a good playoff hitter his entire career with a .846 OPS and nine home runs in the postseason for his career. I wouldn’t mind taking him to hit a homer today, but at plus odds I like getting 2+ total bases instead.
