The Kansas City Chiefs are fresh off a thrilling win against the Los Angeles Chargers and now take on the other team from Los Angeles, the Rams, as massive favorites as the team is down both Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp.

Kansas City is laying 15.5 points against the banged up Rams, so how should we attack this from a prop perspective? Here are three prop bets for this game, focusing on the Rams offense and Justin Watson as well as Travis Kelce.

Best NFL Prop Bets for Rams vs. Chiefs

  • Rams Team Total UNDER 12.5 Points
  • Travis Kelce OVER 6.5 Receptions
  • Justin Watson to Score a Touchdown

Rams Team Total UNDER 12.5 Points

It's going to be a struggle for Bryce Perkins in his first career start on the road against arguably the best team in the AFC in the Chiefs. Kansas City may be 22nd in the NFL in EPA/Play, but the Rams have been short on generating explosive plays all season with a full roster, and now are playing with a skeleton crew on Sunday.

The Rams were ahead of only the Colts and Texas in terms of EPA/Play this season with a healthy Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp for most of it. Now, they are onto an undrafted third string quarterback in Perkins without Kupp.

This number is implying at least one touchdown from the Rams and some field goals, but I'm struggling to see them moving the ball at all and will back this + money under.

Travis Kelce OVER 6.5 Reception (-130)

Kelce has recorded six or more catches in eight of 10 games this season and in every game since Week 3. It's clear that the Chiefs are making a point to use their most valuable pass catcher with MVP favorite Patrick Mahomes and the team should have little resistance against a banged up Rams team that will struggle to keep their defense off the field.

Justin Watson to Score a Touchdown (+360)

Watson has become an every down wide receiver for the Chiefs in place of Juju Smith-Schuster. Now, the former Steelers wideout is set to return from a concussion this week, but Watson's recent play makes me think he is now undervalued as a touchdown threat.

He had three catches for 67 yards last week and has two touchdowns on the season, showing that Mahomes has some faith in 2018 fifth round pick. I'll throw a dart in a game that might get sideways, opening up even more time for backups to get involved.
