Best Prop Bets for Seahawks vs. Rams in Week 13 (Geno Smith Will Cook Against Rams Defense)
If you had to guess before the season started which of these two NFC West teams would be fighting for a playoff spot in Week 13 and which one had already thrown in the towel, you probably wouldn't have guessed it'd be the Seattle Seahawks competing for a postseason berth and the Los Angeles Rams whose season is all but over.
Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, and Aaron Donald, the team's best three players, are all out for today's matchup and likely the rest of the season.
That doesn't mean we can't make some money in this matchup. Let's take a look at a few prop bets I love for today's showdown.
Best NFL Prop Bets for Seahawks vs. Rams
- Geno Smith OVER 247.5 Passing Yards
- Van Jefferson OVER 40.5 Receiving Yards
- Kenneth Walker UNDER 74.5 Rushing Yards
Geno Smith OVER 247.5 Passing Yards
Geno Smith is averaging 254.7 passing yards per game, well above his set total for today's game against the Rams. Not only that, but the Rams secondary is an area that teams have been able to attack. They rank 19th in opponent yards per carry, allowing 6.7 yards per pass attempt. They've also allowed 7.2 yards per throw over their last three games.
The Seahawks have asked Geno to throw early and often in recent games. He has at least 33 passing attempts over their last four games and I expect a similar output from him today.
Van Jefferson OVER 41.5 Receiving Yards
With Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson sidelined, Van Jefferson has taken over as the top pass catcher on the Rams offense.
He's had three catches and three straight games and with the Rams being sizable underdogs today, you can expect them having to throw the ball to play catch up throughout the game. With Jefferson being the deep threat that he is, he may only need a few receptions to surpass this total today.
Kenneth Walker UNDER 72.5 Rushing Yards
Kenneth Walker hasn't surpassed 72.5 rushing yards since Week 9 against the Cardinals, and his carries have been reduced as well, only running the ball a combined 24 times over the Seahawks last two games.
The Rams run defense has still been a strength for them as well. They rank fourth in opponent yards per carry, allowing 3.9 yards per rush. I'll fade Walker in this spot.
