Best Touchdown Scorer Bets for NFL Week 18: Kirk Poised for Big Day vs. Seahawks Secondary
The final week of the NFL regular season is here!
Enjoy it, because after today, all we have left are the playoffs and then football enters hibernation until September.
What better way to enjoy the final day of the regular season than a few touchdown scorer bets? These bets are as simple as can be. All you need for your bet to cash is for the player you wagered on to find the end zone. It's really that is. They score, you win.
Here are my top three touchdown bets for Sunday's NFL Week 18 action. All odds listed are via WynnBET.
Anytime Touchdown Bets for NFL Week 18
- Dare Ogunbowale +180
- Russell Gage +250
- Christian Kirk +150
Dare Ogunbowale +180 vs. Colts
Dare Ogunbowale is the first running back on the Jaguars' depth chart with James Robinson out of the lineup, and he's run the ball a combined 26 times in the last two games along with four receptions.
The Jaguars likely don't have much of a chance to beat the Colts, but if they do find any level of success, it will be on the ground. The Colts rank 25th in opponent yards per carry, allowing an average of 4.5 yards per rush. The Jags have also increased their run play rate since the firing of Urban Meyer. Ogunbowale presents some interesting value at +180 (bet $100 to profit $180).
Russell Gage +250 vs. Saints
The Saints defense gets a lot of praise, but their secondary has been vulnerable at time. 70.37% of the yards gained against the Saints comes through the air, which is the seventh highest mark in the NFL.
In their matchup earlier this season, Matt Ryan completed 23-of-30 passes for 343 yards and two touchdowns. Russell Gage caught seven of those passes for 64 yards. He's a great bet on Sunday at +250 (bet $100 to profit $250) if you're looking for a bit more of a long shot.
Christian Kirk +150
I bet on Christian Kirk to find the end zone last week and it didn't work out, but I'm going back to him in Week 18. He's become Kyler Murray's favorite weapon with DeAndre Hopkins out of the lineup, as he's racked up at least nine targets in three straight games.
Now he gets to face a Seahawks secondary that ranks 25th in opponent yards per pass attempt. Murray should have a big day on Sunday, and Kirk should be a beneficiary of that. I like his odds at +150 (bet $100 to profit $150).
