The Sweet 16 is starting to take form, so it's time to take a look at a few teams that present some betting value to win the NCAA National Championship.

Let's take at a few valuable dark horses as we prepare for the Sweet 16.

UNC +2000

UNC disappointed for the majority of the season, but they gained some momentum to end their season. They finished the year on a six-game winning streak, which included a win over No. 4 Duke. They fell short against Virginia Tech in the ACC semi-finals, but the run gave them confidence heading into March Madness.

Now, they're one of the hottest teams in the country. They blew out No. 9 Marquette in the opening round, and then defeated the defending champs, No. 1 Baylor, in the Round of 32. Most importantly, they've been playing some lock-down defense in these games, which had been their weakness for the majority of the season.

The Tarheels will take on No. 4 UCLA in the Sweet 16. They're set as a 2.5-point underdog.

Houston +1200

Houston has now made the Sweet 16 in three consecutive years, and it's time to put some respect on the Cougars. They rank amongst the best in the country in several key statistics, and it's clear that people underestimate the AAC.

If you want to bet on Houston, now is the time to do it before they likely take on No. 1 Arizona in the Sweet 16. If they beat the Wildcats, they'll be amongst the favorites to win it all.

Michigan +5000

If you're looking for a big time long shot, no team has better value than the Michigan Wolverines. While they are admittedly an 11-seed, there is no doubt that the Wolverines have the talent to win it all. An underwhelming regular season caused their stock to fall enough to put them in at No. 11 in the South region, but a big win against a very good No. 3 Tennessee team has shown every that they're for real.

Michigan awaits the winner of Villanova and Ohio State in the Sweet 16, and Big Blue will likely be only a small underdog to advance to the Elite 8. Jump on them now before it's too late.
