We're passed the first two rounds of Wimbledon and are now in the third round. The winner of these matches moves on to the Round of 16, and takes another step closer to glory. The odds are starting to get closer as we move further into the tournament, making some of the decisions on who to back tougher. Don't fear.

I have my best bets for Friday's slate of tennis locked and loaded. Let's get into the picks.

All odds listed are via WynnBET.

Carlos Alcaraz vs. Oscar Otte Prediction and Pick

While Alcaraz is the better player, I don’t think he’ll be able to walk all over Otte. Alcaraz has already been pushed to the brink in the first two rounds – going 5 sets in the first round against Jan-Lennard Struff. Otte has similar statistics as Alcaraz this year, with the biggest difference coming in break points converted. Alcaraz converts 7% more of potential break points.

Again, I think Alcaraz wins this match, but it won’t be easy. Otte won his first match in straight sets and had a walkover win in the second round. He’s fresh and ready to go against the young phenom.

To get the most value out of this match, I’ll back Alcaraz to win this match in four sets.

Lean: Alcaraz Garfia 3-1 (+290)

Frances Tiafoe vs. Alexander Bublik Prediction and Pick

This match might be the highlight of the third round. Both these players are coming in on fire, not yet having lost a set. Tiafoe is having a decent year. He’s winning 78% of his service games, 36% of his return games and converting on 39% of potential break points.

Bublik has had a very similar year. He’s wining 79% of his service games, 35% of his return games, and is converting on 37% of potential break points. At this point, they are the same player on paper.

For that reason, I’m going to back the OVER and wait for this match to go at least four sets with several of them being close.

Lean: OVER 41.5 Games (-115)
