Bet on Max Verstappen to Win Formula 1 Drivers' Championship Before it's Too Late
The 2022 Formula 1 season is officially in full swing.
At the conclusion of the Miami Grand Prix, Max Verstappen of Red Bull has won two-straight races and now only trails Ferrari's Charles Leclerc in the standings to win the Drivers Championship.
If I were you, I'd bet on Verstappen to win it all before it's too late.
Let's take a look at the top six odds to win the 2022 Drivers Championship, courtesy of WynnBET.
Odds to Win the 2022 Formula 1 Drivers Championship
- Max Verstappen -120
- Charles Leclerc +115
- Lewis Hamilton +3000
- George Russell +4000
- Sergio Perez +5000
- Carlos Sainz Jr. +5000
Max Verstappen Favored to Win Second-Straight Drivers Championship
You may think Charles Leclerc as betting value at +115, considering he still sits atop the standings, but I'd urge you to think otherwise.
Ferrari, as a whole, got off to a quick start to the season. They were the only cars who had both pace and reliability. Mercedes was staying on the track, but their pace has been significantly slower compared to Ferrari. Red Bull, on the other hand, had the pace but couldn't keep their cars on the track.
The most obvious way to prove this point, is that every race Verstappen has been able to finish, he's won.
It looks like Red Bull has fixed the issue that their cars were experiencing early in the season. Now, for two events in a row, Verstappen has crossed the finish line and he's won both races.
Verstappen defeated Lewis Hamilton last season and proved that he's the best driver on planet earth. Leclerc has had chances to go head-to-head with him all season, and every time that Verstappen's car didn't quit on him, he came out on top.
There's still lots of F1 season left, and getting Verstappen at -120 to win his second-straight Drivers Championship is a gift. It'll be the best number you'll see for the rest of the season.
