The co-favorite to win the College World Series can rake.

Stanford advanced to the College World Series in Omaha this coming weekend behind its elite hitting, defeating Connecticut in the Super Regionals in a deciding third game. The offense led the way for the Cardinal, who joined history in their series against the Huskies.

This fits the method to Stanford's madness, who finished inside the top 20 in home runs per game this season and was top 10 in slugging percentage.

The Tree fell behind early in Game 1, but scored six runs in the ninth inning behind four home runs to nearly complete a wild comeback. Ultimately the home team fell 13-12, but responded in Game 2 with an 8-2 win. The bats were at it again in the deciding Game 3, including this towering Grand Slam to put the club in front for good.

Stanford Odds to Win College World Series

Stanford is +450 at consensus sportsbooks to win their first NCAA Tournament since 1988. The team went to the College World Series in 2021, but lost in a chaotic final inning to Vanderbilt.

Tied atop the odds board with Texas, Stanford opens the College World Series against last year's No. 1 team Arkansas in the quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon.
