The NBA’s Eastern and Western Conference matchups are set, and only the Golden State Warriors came into the season as one of the consensus favorites to win the championship.

The Boston Celtics and Miami Heat play in the Eastern Conference Finals with the Warriors and Dallas Mavericks playing in the West. Today, I broke down the odds for each of these teams to advance to the NBA Finals.

While the Celtics, Mavericks and Heat were all serious longshots entering this season, how do the odds at WynnBET stack up now?

Latest Odds to Win the NBA Championship

  • Golden State Warriors: +130
  • Boston Celtics: +180
  • Miami Heat: +400
  • Dallas Mavericks: +650

The oddsmakers at WynnBET are clearly bracing for a Warriors-Celtics matchup in the NBA Finals, even though the Heat are the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns entered the playoffs as the favorites in their respective conferences, but both teams were eliminated in Game 7 of the conference semifinals in blowout losses on Sunday.

Is There Value in the Heat or Mavericks to Win an NBA Championship?

To put this in perspective, I grabbed the Warriors at +650 prior to the postseason to win the NBA title. The Mavericks, just eight wins away, still have the same odds as that Golden State team.

Luka Doncic is arguably the best player left in the playoffs, so the Mavericks are an intriguing bet at +650, especially since they are +170 to make the Finals.

As for Miami, the Heat have shown they can make the Finals with this core, but they’re facing a tough matchup in a similarly built Celtics team. Still, getting 4/1 odds on a team with home court advantage could be intriguing if you don’t have anything else in pocket.
