The New England Patriots won a methodical game against the Atlanta Falcons tonight. They won with good defense and a solid running game and won 25-0. With the win, New England moves to 7-4 while the Falcons fall to 4-6. Atlanta is on a two-game losing streak and is losing ground in the NFC playoff race.

Every game is more than just the final score, so here are the biggest winners and losers from Week 11's edition of Thursday Night Football.

Winners

Mac Jones’ OROY Case

Jones hasn’t put up the gaudiest stats this season, but each win the Patriots add to their record is another leg for Jones to stand on. He finished tonight with 206 yards and 1 touchdown. Jones did throw an interception in the third quarter. Luckily, the Falcons weren’t able to capitalize on it.

The Offensive Rookie of the Year race is between Jones and Ja’Marr Chase. If Chase continues to put up the types of numbers he has, then it may be hard to not give him the award. However, winning games never hurts your case as a quarterback.

New England’s Playoff Chances

The Patriots have won five games in a row and are now 7-4. They are still second in the AFC East and could be in contention for the bye in the AFC. New England’s defense had a great performance and is hitting its stride at the perfect time. The Patriots still have two games against the Bills. They control their own destiny and today was another step in fulfilling it.

The Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons lost the game, failed to cover and were shut out, so technically they are losers. However, I’m going to give them a moral victory. They didn’t let the game get away from them and were in striking distance the entire time -- until Josh Rosen and Felipe Franks came into the game. I won't count that against them though.

Also, I just feel bad for Falcons fans. They had to relive “28-3” all day long and that’s not a fun thing to go through. I’m going to take pity on them and give them a gold star for persevering through the day.
