The Bills are prepping to head into TIAA Bank Field this weekend to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. Buffalo is coming off a close win over the Dolphins in Week 8. The Bills never trailed in the game but the Dolphins were in the game for most of the first three quarters before losing 26-11. It was not an impressive win but only wins and losses matter in the NFL so we can forgive them for struggling early against a bad team.

Meanwhile, the Jaguars lost to the Seahawks on Sunday 31-7 in a game that I thought they had a legit chance to win. Instead, the Geno Smith-led Seahawks put a hurting on this Jaguars team that might have lost the little momentum they had left after their lone win of the season.

Here are the odds for this Week 8 matchup between these AFC rivals, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Bills vs. Jaguars Prediction and Pick

The Jaguars, coming off such a brutal loss, are even harder to trust than usual for me. The fact that they gave up 31 points to an offense that was helmed by Geno Smith is very concerning.

Other things that make the Jaguars a dodgy bet include their 32nd ranked defense in terms of yards per play and the fact that the Bills lead the league in the same category.

Josh Allen didn’t have a lights-out game last week but his 249 yards and two touchdowns proved more than enough to beat the Dolphins. I am a little hesitant to put too much faith in this group after getting torched by the Titans, but I’m willing to chalk that up as an anomaly and put it behind me.

I think this game has all the hallmarks of a blowout win and feel confident taking the Bills to cover 14.5.

PICK: Buffalo Bills -14.5 (-110)
