The New York Jets made a crash landing back down to earth after a 5-2 start in Week 8.

A three interception performance from Zach Wilson and a 22-17 loss to the Patriots leaves New York at 5-3.

Now, they are staring down the Buffalo Bills who may never slow down from their hot start. Buffalo comes off a 27-17 win over the Packers that wasn’t nearly that close as Josh Allen clearly let off the gas in the second half. It appeared as if the Bills knew they could bury Green Bay whenever they wanted, but Aaron Rodgers never made a game of it.

The Jets' record is 5-3, but Vegas doesn’t believe in them one bit against the 6-1 Bills. Just look at the odds for this one.

Bills vs. Jets Prediction and Pick

The Jets were fun to start the year, but it seems like their offensive line injuries and the injury to Breece Hall might be slowing killing their season. They only ran for 51 yards on the Patriots last week and Michael Carter was their leading rusher with 26 yards on seven carries. After falling behind, they were forced to throw the ball and that is never a good thing for a very turnover-prone quarterback in Zach Wilson. Yes, he threw for 355 yards, but he also threw three interceptions.

Expect more of the same for the Jets to try and keep up with Josh Allen in Week 9, which is a recipe for disaster against the Bills' defensive line. Wilson does not get sacked a lot, but he loves to scramble around 15 yards behind the line of scrimmage and throw a pick.

EXHIBIT A:

Wilson has played five games this year, he has three touchdowns to five interceptions, has completed 54.9% of his passes, has committed 10 turnover worthy plays according to PFF, and is doing it all on just 7.4 yards per attempt. He is not a good quarterback and I’m already willing to say he never will be.

There's zero chance I'll be backing him, even as a double-digit underdog at home.

PICK: Bills -12.5 (-110)
