Blackhawks vs. Oilers Prediction and Odds: Edmonton Ends Chicago's Winning Streak
By Thomas Snodgrass
The Chicago Blackhawks appear to be turning their season around. After starting the season at a miserable 1-9-2 record, the Blackhawks have won their last four games, improving their record to a slightly more palatable 5-9-2.
Chicago will look to extend it’s four game winning streak to five. The Blackhawks will be expecting goalie Kevin Lankinen to stand tall in the net tonight against one of the most explosive offenses in the NHL in the Edmonton Oilers to extend that streak.
The Oilers have failed to put together back-to-back wins since Nov. 5, but will have a chance to do so tonight at home.
At 12-4-0 this season, Edmonton currently has the most points in the standing in the Western Conference with 24.

Chicago Blackhawks vs. Edmonton Oilers Prediction and Pick
Chicago has won four in a row, but a few of the games were won by a fingernail.
The Blackhawks defeated the Nashville Predators in overtime, 2-1 on Sunday, then followed that with a 3-2 victory in a shootout against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday, then they defeated the Arizona Coyotes, 2-1 on Friday.
Chicago has been just skating by, and their fragile winning streak won’t hold for much longer.
The Oilers are second in the NHL in goals per game, averaging 3.8 per contest, and they have the best power play in the NHL, finding the net on a staggering 40.8 percent of the time with the man advantage.
The Blackhawks questionable offense will not be able to keep up.
Pick: Oilers -1.5 (+110)
