Blazers vs. Cavaliers Prediction and Odds: Portland's Struggles will Continue Tonight in Cleveland
By Matt De Saro
The Portland Trail Blazers head to the Rocket Morgage Fieldhouse on Wednesday night to face off against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Portland is hoping for a bounce-back game after a rough loss to the 76ers on Monday night. Despite a strong night of scoring, the Blazers’ defense let them down and they ended up losing 103-113. The loss dropped them to 3-4 on the season and denied them their first road win of the season.
On the other hand, Cleveland is coming off a win over the Charlotte Hornets 113-110 and will be looking to continue their strong start and win their fifth game of the season.

Blazers vs. Cavaliers Prediction and Pick
The Trail Blazers have been rather hit or miss so far this season. The most recent loss to a 76ers team without Joel Embiid or Ben Simmons speaks a lot as to where this team is right now. This is understandable for a young team with a new coach but doesn’t make me confident to bet on them exactly. Part of their slow start has a lot to do with Damian Lillard who is averaging just 18.6 points per game and shooting less than 25 percent from behind the arc. If he doesn’t get going, neither will this team.
In contrast, the Cavs have looked surprisingly good this season. They also have a young team but Evan Mobley has wasted no time making a name for himself in the NBA. The rookie is averaging 13.6 points per game and 7.9 rebounds.
While the Trail Blazers are a better team on paper, they haven’t done anything to wow me at any point so far in their first seven games. Their defense is shaky and their best player is not looking all that electric. The Cavs are .500, coming off a win, and would like nothing more than to head back home to win two in a row with this young roster. I think that is exactly what they do tonight.
Pick:: Cleveland Cavaliers +180 ML
