The St. Louis Blues are on the road tonight for the second leg of a back-to-back against the Vancouver Canucks. The Canucks took last night’s game in St. Louis 4-1 after falling behind early on. The Canucks were already on the playoff bubble but their chances to make it to the show took a hit last night. This is as close to a “must-win” game for the Canucks as they try to claw their way into a playoff spot.

Here are the odds for tonight’s matchup, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Blues vs. Canucks Prediction and Pick

The Blues have a significant advantage on the offensive side of things in this matchup. STL is averaging 3.51 goals per game. The top two lines, led by David Perron, Vladimir Tarasenko, and Jordan Kyrou, are producing at a high volume. Their other lines are chipping in too and combine to create a dangerous group overall. Their defense has also stepped into the spotlight recently and is averaging 2.85 goals per game allowed. Ville Husso will handle duties in goal tonight. He, along with the offense, is having a stellar season with a .924 save percentage and a 2.38 GAA.

The Canucks, on the other side of things, need a little boost on offense. They are averaging just 2.79 goals per game and have scored just seven goals in their last three games overall. Including last night’s loss. The defense has been keeping the Canucks afloat but they really need to start scoring goals if they hope to earn a playoff berth. The problem is, at this point, the teams aren’t going to suddenly fix a glaring issue in their game. They are what we thought they were. And the Canucks are a team that can’t really score.

I think that trend continues and the Blues manage to take two in a row from a Canucks team heading in the wrong direction.

Lean: Blues -110
