The St. Louis Blues will continue their trek through Western Canada tonight as they head to Calgary to take on the Flames just one night after taking down the Canucks, 3-1 in Vancouver. Tonight's game will serve as the first leg of a home-and-home with the Flames.

The Blues are 8-2 in their last 10 games, and now sit in second place in the Central Division, four points behind the surging Avalanche. Meanwhile, the Flames, who looked like one of the better teams in the NHL early in the season, continue to stumble and now sit in fifth place in the Pacific Division, having gone 3-6-1 in their last 10 games.

Let's take a look at the odds via WynnBET for this Western Conference showdown.

Blues vs. Flames Prediction and Pick

I don't have a great feel on either of these teams. The Blues seem to be over-performing based on their sub-par advanced analytics, and the Flames have gone from being one of the best defensive teams in the NHL, to one of the stronger offensive teams.

Instead, I'm going to look at the total and lean towards the OVER 5.5 goals. Over each team's last 10 games, the Flames rank fifth in high danger scoring chances. Meanwhile, the Blues have the high shooting percentage over that same stretch, finding the back of the net on 14.39 percent of their shots.

Those two signs seem to point to there being plenty of goals tonight.

Lean: OVER 5.5 (-120)
