The Boston College Eagles are looking to snap a three-game losing streak tonight on the road against Notre Dame at the Joyce Center in South Bend. The Eagles are also riding a rather long losing streak on the road that dates back to the middle of January.

After straight losses to Duke, Virginia, and Syracuse, the Eagles now sit in 11th in the ACC with a 4-9 conference mark. Despite their struggles, the Eagles already notched a win over the Fighting Irish 73-57 earlier in the year. Considering how much better ND is at this point, I think they will be gunning for a big win in this game.

Boston Colllege vs. Notre Dame Prediction and Pick

With Notre Dame locked in a race with No. 9  Duke at the top of the conference, it’s crazy to think that they lost to BC already this season. But, the Eagles went on to lose five straight games after that win and showed us the team they really were. Don’t let their 9-14 overall record fool you into thinking they are an average team because five of those wins came against mid-major teams and were little more than warm-up matches. The major issue that BC will have tonight is their god-awful shooting. The Eagles rank 332nd in the nation from behind the arc and 310th from two-point range. Believe it or not, they are also terrible from the free-throw line, ranking 215th.

This is a big problem due to the fact that Notre Dame’s defense ranks 57th in adjusted efficiency, 85th in shooting efficiency, and holds opposing teams to 32.1 percent from downtown. The Irish’s offense isn’t anything to write home about. But they should produce enough to cover this game behind a defense that matches up very well against BC.

Lean: Notre Dame -9
