The Atlanta Braves are coming off a series loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks, and are now just 5-5 in their last 10 games. That's a bad stretch by their standards, but they still hold the best record in Major League Baseball.

They'll face another National League division leader over the weekend in the Milwaukee Brewers.

Let's dive into the odds and my best bet for the series opener tonight.

Braves vs. Brewers prediction and pick

I have no interest in betting on either side when Mike Soroka is pitching for the Braves. After being the runner up for Rookie of the Year in 2019, Soroka has dealt with injury after injury before finally making his return this season.

His first season back hasn't been as successful as he would have hoped, sporting a 5.4 ERA through his first five appearances and four starts. His FIP (Field Independent Pitching) is even worse, sitting a 6.67.

So, the only logical thing to do is to take the OVER and hope that he either gives up plenty of runs and/or the Braves offense stays as hot as they've been all season.

Freddy Peralta gets the start for the Brewers. He has a subpar 4.41 ERA, but now he has to take on a Braves offense that leads the majors in just about every significant offensive statistic.

Their numbers over the past month are even better. They have an .877 OPS while scoreing 138 runs over the past 30 days. They've also hit 54 dingers over that stretch, the most in the majors by 15.

Let's root for some runs in this National League matchup.
