The Atlanta Braves have called up Allan Winans from their AAA affiliate to make the start tonight against the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Braves took down the Brewers by a final score of 6-4 in the series opener on Friday. Can they keep their momentum going with a starting pitcher making their debut?

Let's find out what the oddsmakers think.

Braves vs. Brewers prediction and pick

Many people think that just because a team is starting a pitcher making their MLB debut that you should blindly fade them. I am not one of those people.

Winans has earned his chance to shine at the Major League level after sporting a 2.81 ERA in 18 appearances and 13 starts at the AAA level. He doesn't have the toughest debut in the world either as he gets to take on a Brewers team that is 20th in OPS over the last 30 days.

Adrian Houser gets the start for the Brewers tonight, and it's not just the fact that he has to go up against the best offense in baseball that makes me think the Braves are going to get to him tonight. His 3.79 ERA may also be a little bit fraudulent once you consider his 4.33 FIP (Field Independent Pitching) and his 1.526 WHIP.

Give me the Braves to take care of business with the new guy on the mound tonight.
