Braves vs. Nationals Prediction and Odds for Sunday, July 17 (Strider Strides Toward History)
By Joe Summers
Do you remember the first time you fell in sports love? I'll never forget watching Kemba Walker hit a game-winning crossover step-back jumper against Pittsburgh in the Big East Tournament back in 2011. I loved it so much I named my dog Kemba.
I may need to visit the shelter and start planning an addition to the family, because Spencer Strider has captured my entire heart.
The Braves' rookie sensation is taking the league by storm, allowing two runs or fewer in seven of his last eight starts while striking out 38.9% of batters he faces. He's been unbelievable, finding himself a big favorite against Washington today.
Can Strider's dominance continue or will the Nationals spoil my dreams?
Let's check out the odds posted at FanDuel Sportsbook to find out:

Braves vs Nationals Prediction and Pick
Washington hasn't officially announced a starter, though signs point to Erasmo Ramirez serving as an opener for a bullpen day. But to be frank, it doesn't matter who starts for the Nationals. It's Spencer bleeping Strider day, after all.
I've spent more time watching Strider highlights over the last two months than I'd care to admit, but I can't help myself. It's incredible to see a 23-year-old rookie bring grown men to their knees with the grace of a balloon floating through the sky.
Strider has 31 strikeouts over his last 16.2 innings and already tortured this Washington lineup with 11 strikeouts in 5.2 innings a few weeks ago. These Nationals have one win in their last 16 games and I don't see their misery ending today.
Atlanta is one of the hottest teams in MLB. With Strider turning into a soul-crushing force of nature before our eyes, I expect another easy win.
Roll with the Braves as Strider dazzles yet again. If he keeps this up, you may see some photos of my new pup, "Spencer," showing up on my Twitter next week.
Pick: Braves -1.5 Run Line
