Carson Wentz's status for Week 3 is in doubt due to multiple ankle sprains as the Indianapolis Colts face a massive game against division rival, the Tennessee Titans.

Jacob Eason is the team's backup quarterback, but reports are suggesting that veteran third stringer Brett Hundley might leapfrog him and be named the starter come Sunday.
#Colts practice squad QB Brett Hundley took the majority of starter reps in practice Wednesday, and he and Jacob Eason may both play against the #Titans if Carson Wentz is out, per sources.

There’s still hope Wentz (ankles) can play. Final decision may not come until Sunday.
Eason, a 2020 fourth-round pick, came in late last Sunday for the injured Wentz, but threw a game sealing interception in the final minutes.
Hundley posted a 3-6 record as a starter for the Green Bay Packers in 2017, with those three wins coming against teams with a combined record of 10-38.
That being said, head coach Frank Reich opting to elevate him from the practice squad and give him first team reps hints that he is leaning with the more proven commodity at quarterback.
The Colts are in a dire situation, staring at an 0-3 start and falling two games behind Tennessee in the AFC South. However, given Wentz's injury history, it may be best to go to Hundley for at least a week and make sure their starter is ready for the full season.
As of this writing, the Titans sit as five-point home favorites with a total set at 48 at WynnBET Sportsbook.
