The reigning NL Central champs are stumbling out of the gate.

The Milwaukee Brewers are 1-3 to start the year, and dropped their series' opener against the Baltimore Orioles on Monday, 2-0.

Can they get back on track on Tuesday night against a team projected to finish with the least number of wins in baseball?

Here are the odds for Tuesday night's matchup from WynnBET Sportsbook:

Brewers vs. Orioles Odds, Run Line, Total

Run Line:

  • Brewers: -1.5 (-110)
  • Orioles: +1.5 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Brewers: -155
  • Orioles: +140

Total: 9 (Over -110/Under -110)

Brewers vs. Orioles Prediction and Pick

While the Brewers offense has struggled early on, the team may get what they need in terms of facing Spenser Watkins on Tuesday night.

Watkins struggled after finally making the bigs last year after being in the minor leagues since 2014. He posted an ERA north of 8 and struggled to keep the ball in the park, yielding a home-run-to-fly-ball rate north of 17%.

The Brewers offense has been shut out twice in four games already this season, but should be in line to get to Watkins given he has shown little reason to be a big league pitcher to date.

On the other side, though, the Orioles should be able to put runs on the board against lefty Eric Lauer. The team performed better than expected last year against southpaws, posting the 8th highest slugging percentage in MLB. This team may not be very good overall, but they do excel at hitting left-handed pitching.

With two poor matchups for the pitchers, I'll side with the over as the Brewers offense should break out against Watkins and a poor Orioles pitching staff.

LEAN: OVER 9 (-110)
