Brewers vs. Reds Prediction and Odds for Tuesday, May 10 (Cincinnati has a Hunter Greene Problem)
By Matt De Saro
Christmas comes early this year for the Milwaukee Brewers with their second series against the Reds in the last week. The Brewers capped off a three-game sweep of the Reds four days ago and should enjoy similar success this week.
Sure, the Reds took their first series of the year and nearly doubled their win total in three games. But, that series was against the Pittsburgh Pirates who are considered a team equally as bad on paper as the Reds.
The Brewers suffered a series loss to the Braves over the weekend despite taking Game 1. The Brewers move to 19-10, but one has to wonder how long they can keep this up. The Brewers are winning a lot of games against some very bad teams. They haven’t had a real test until this weekend when the Braves beat them up. And even Atlanta is having a down year. But that is a problem for later in the week when the Brewers head to Miami.

Brewers vs. Reds Prediction and Pick
I have written a lot about the Reds this year, and with great success. It’s been an easy losing streak to call, but wins are wins. It feels good that I ended up not covering the two games Cincy won this weekend as I would have 100 percent gone against them. I, therefore, am still in the dining car of the Reds fade train, ordering cocktails until the wheels come off.
Hunter Green, one of my favorite fade targets, gets another start for Cincinnati after going 1-4 with an 8.71 ERA and 1.89 WHIP to start the year. I said last week that there was no light at the end of Greene’s tunnel and was proven right after he gave up eight runs in s ⅔ innings against the Brewers.
76 pitches and five home runs later, I was left wondering why Greene was starting at all and surely he would be pulled from the rotation. Guess not. Greene gets another crack at the Brewers tonight. But I think the only crack will be those of the Brewers bats as they light up the scoreboard at the Great American Ballpark.
Pick: Brewers -1.5 (-120)
