Broncos vs. Chargers Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for NFL Week 6

The Denver Broncos’ season is spiraling, as the team blew a primetime matchup with the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5, losing 12-9 in an ugly game in overtime. 

Denver now sits at 2-3 on the season, with one of the worst offenses in the NFL, and a quarterback dealing with a partially torn lat. Not great. 

Things won’t get any easier for the Broncos when they go on the road in Week 6 to face Justin Herbert, Austin Ekeler and the high-flying Los Angeles Chargers offense. This was expected to be a fun primetime matchup prior to the season, but now the Broncos are six-point dogs, and rightfully so given their play. 

Can Nathaniel Hackett’s team finally piece together a solid offensive game? Or will the Chargers, despite being banged up, pick up another game on Denver in a crowded AFC West?

Broncos vs. Chargers Prediction and Pick

There are a few ways you can look at this game, and none of them end well for Denver. 

I say that acknowledging that oddsmakers may be underrating how good Denver’s defense has been this season by making them six-point dogs. 

However, the Broncos offense has been as horrible as advertised, and I’m not sure it will be able to rely on its running game, even against the banged up Chargers. Denver lost starting left tackle Garrett Bolles for the season, and they are quickly adding more and more key players to their list of injuries. 

The Chargers could get Keenan Allen back in this game, which makes them even more dangerous on offense, but I’d jump on the UNDER in this game at 46.5 before it goes down. 

If Wilson’s injury is serious enough to hold him out, the Broncos offense could be even worse (if that’s possible), and we’ve seen how bad it is with him under center. 

Justin Herbert and company can score, but the Denver defense can at least provide some resistance where they won’t blow this open completely on their own. I’ll lean with the UNDER early this week, but I don’t blame you if the Chargers at less than a touchdown are intriguing as well.
