It’s getting ridiculous at this point. The Denver Broncos just can’t score. Last week's 16-point performance in the overtime loss to Las Vegas put Russell Wilson and Nathaniel Hackett at 3-7 even with the No. 2 scoring defense in the NFL. That defense has the unique privilege of facing Sam Darnold this week. Darnold will make his first appearance of 2022 for the 3-8 Carolina Panthers because it can’t be worse. Right?

This line opened with the Broncos as 2.5 point road favorites, but now the spread sits at 1. The total opened absurdly low at 36.5 and actually came down to 36.

This is becoming a challenge at this point. The under is 9-1 in Denver’s games this season and as the total gets lower and lower every week, the Broncos just keep being terrible at scoring points. Russell Wilson has quickly become one of the worst quarterbacks in football and this week his counterpart is Sam Darnold. Baker Mayfield has been a disaster in Carolina, but quite honestly, Darnold could be so much worse.
Denver’s defense is amazing and if the offense was even average this team would be like 9-1, that’s how great they’ve been on one side of the ball and how terrible they’ve been on the other. Carolina’s defense honestly isn’t bad either. They allow 23.3 points per game which is about league average and their last two games they’ve allowed 13 and 15 points. They were aided by bad weather in both.
We have to keep taking the under when Denver plays and I don’t know that there is any total that would scare me off.
