Broncos vs. Raiders Best Prop Bets for NFL Week 4 (Does Josh McDaniels Know he has Davante Adams?)
By Josh Yourish
The AFC West was supposed to be a gauntlet, but after three weeks it doesn’t quite look that way. The Raiders are 0-3 and the Broncos are 2-1, but they might have more question marks around them than any other 2-1 team. Can Nathaniel Hackett finally figure out this offense with Russell Wilson? If not, maybe we can fade a couple of big props this week.
Best Prop Bets for Broncos vs. Raiders
- Davante Adams Under 78.5 Receiving Yards
- Russell Wilson Over 10.5 Rushing Yards
- Derek Carr Under 270.5 Passing Yards
Davante Adams Under 76.5 Receiving Yards
In Week 1, Adams went off against the Chargers with 10 catches for 141 yards and a touchdown, but since then he’s been very quiet.
Almost as if Josh McDaniels doesn’t know what to do with him until he gets into the red zone. Last week he even got 10 targets, but it only resulted in five grabs for 36 yards. This total has gone down, but I’m going to keep hammering the under until McDaniels and Derek Carr are willing to push the ball downfield to Adams. Plus the Broncos have been one of the best defenses in the league this year.
Russell Wilson Over 7.5 Rushing Yards
Last week against the 49ers, it finally happened. For the first time in what feels like years, Wilson was willing to scramble out of the pocket and make things happen with his legs. He rushed six times for 17 yards and when he started to run it really opened up their offense. Wilson has been reluctant to use his legs and I think that is a big reason he is a below average quarterback right now. I think he finally realizes that too and his final drive a week ago will start to reintroduce the running element back into his game.
Derek Carr Under 268.5 Passing Yards
Carr has gone over this total in his last two games, but Denver’s defense is a step up from Tennessee, Arizona, and LA. The Broncos have only allowed 36 points across their first three games and they give up 5.4 yards per attempt passing. That is the third best mark in the league. Every Denver game has been the same. It's ugly and sloppy and weird and low scoring. I don’t think an 0-3 Raiders team is good enough to change that.
