The Brooklyn Nets are one step closer to getting back to full strength. While Ben Simmons is still in the process of getting healthy, Kyrie Irving will now be eligible to play home games. New York City will change the mandate that’s been keeping Irving out to make exceptions for athletes and entertainers.

With Irving back in the fold full time, Brooklyn is dangerous again. The Nets are currently the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference, but have +600 odds to win the NBA Finals at WynnBET Sportsbook. Having Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving on the floor in every game gives Brooklyn the best value to win the title this season.

Irving has been dominant over the last week, showing the ease in which he can score. I don’t expect Irving to average over 40 points per game, but I’ve already seen what he and Kevin Durant can do on the basketball court.

Irving and Durant had the eventual champion Milwaukee Bucks on the rope before Irving sprained his ankle last postseason. If he stays healthy this season, the Nets are set up as well as anyone to make a deep run in the playoffs.

With Philadelphia starting to see its issues, Milwaukee not looking as dominant as we thought and Miami literally fighting on the bench, the argument for Brooklyn to win it all isn’t insane.

Normally the favorite doesn’t have the best value, but the Nets have good value to come out the East – while also being second in the odds standings to win it all.

Ironically, the only phrase I can think of that describes this moment is coined by former Net James Harden: SCARY HOURS.
