Browns vs. Patriots Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for NFL Week 10: The Browns are Better Without OBJ
By Matt De Saro
The Cleveland Browns head to Gillette Stadium this weekend to face off against the New England Patriots. The Browns are coming off an impressive blowout win against the Bengals and look to carry that momentum into Foxboro. There is some drama surrounding this team with Odell Beckham Jr. heading to the waiver wire today after weeks of rumors. The last straw was Beckham’s father posting videos to social media showing all the plays that Baker Mayfield didn’t pass to his son. I think this is an absolute win for the Browns who will be happy to put this drama behind them.
The Patriots, meanwhile, are coming off a bye and well rested and opened as two-point home favorites. New England has won three of their last five games after a shaky start to the year. Rookie QB Mac Jones has looked stronger each week and now the running game is heating up.

Browns vs. Patriots Prediction and Pick
Even if Beckham is still technically on the roster, he has not been a part of this team for awhile.
Ironically, Baker Mayfield looked amazing last weekend. I think this OBJ mess has caused a lot of turmoil behind the scenes and the Browns will be better off without him. Mayfield passed for 218 yards and two touchdowns last week. While those numbers don’t exactly jump off of the page, it was an easy win for the Browns and Nick Chubb handled a lot of the work on offense. The Browns totaled 153 yards and two touchdowns on the ground off just 23 carries. Chub led all rushers with 137 yards and two scores on 14 touches.
Sure, the Patriots defense looked very sharp in their last game but the Browns look like a team renewed. While New England has been playing better of late, this will be a tough game for Mac Jones to navigate. The Browns defense can shut down the Jet’s run game leaving Jones to try and win the game through the air. I don’t see that happening. With the offense firing on all cylinders, and implications for the AFC playoff race, I think the Browns are a great bet here as underdogs on the road.
Pick: Cleveland Browns +105 to win.
