Bruins vs. Sabres Prediction: Buffalo Loses Its First Game to Boston
By Thomas Snodgrass
The Boston Bruins (1-1-0) got hammered by the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday, losing 6-3. Young goalie Jeremy Swayman allowed five goals on 24 shots against. Goalie Linus Ullmark, making his Bruins debut, should get the start in net tonight against the Buffalo Sabres. Ullmark was a goalie for the Sabres for the past six seasons.
Buffalo (3-0-0) has had a surprising start to their season. No Jack Eichel at center, center Casey Mittlestadt has missed the last two games, and the goalie tandem of Craig Anderson and Dustin Tokarski has led the Sabres to an undefeated start.
Anderson (2-0, 1.50 GAA, .954 SV%) will be between the pipes tonight for Buffalo. Anderson stopped 32 of 34 shots against the Vancouver Canucks in his last appearance.

Bruins vs. Sabres Prediction and Pick
This undefeated run by Buffalo has gone on too long. Three games doesn’t sound like “too long”, but it is for this Sabres team.
Boston has failed to score a power play goal in its first two games, and Buffalo has yet to allow a power play goal in its first three games. That script will flip tonight.
The Bruins may have the most effective power play in the NHL, based purely on talent. Most teams will envy Boston's top power play unit of Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron, Taylor Hall, David Pastrnak, and Charlie McAvoy.
The Bruins will crush the Sabres tonight, making people quickly forget that Buffalo was 3-0. I wouldn’t be surprised if Buffalo lost three in a row starting tonight.
I’m taking Boston on the puck line at -1.5 (+125).
