Dak Prescott reportedly will be ready to play in Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but oddsmakers have moved the line against the Dallas Cowboys in light of Prescott’s shoulder injury.

Tampa Bay is now a seven-point favorite on WynnBET after opening at 6.5, and the Bucs have -120 odds to cover the spread in the season opener.

Prescott, who has been recovering from a shoulder injury he suffered in camp, reportedly may not be at 100 percent by Week 1 or all season.

Despite Adam Schefter’s report, Prescott hasn’t had any setbacks in his recovery and the team is instead avoiding the risk of having him play in the preseason.

Something just doesn’t seem right. If the Cowboys really thought Prescott was healthy, there would be no need for the second MRI, or the fact that he’s been held out for the entire preseason.

Dak could be ready to go by the Week 1 opener, but the Bucs seem like a sure thing with all of the question marks around Prescott and even Amari Cooper in the Dallas offense.

The Bucs have returned all of their starters from their Super Bowl win last season, and with Tampa Bay opening at home it’s hard to see Dallas stealing a win on the road.

The Cowboys are +290 on the moneyline for bettors who believe in them to take down the defending champions, but Vegas seems to be leaning heavily towards the Bucs as the season approaches.
