Bucks vs. Pistons Prediction and Odds: Milwaukee Will Get it Done With Depleted Roster
By Matt De Saro
The reigning champion Milwaukee Bucks have had a slow start to their season and look to snap a three-game losing streak tonight against the Detroit Pistons. The Bucks couldn’t have picked a better opponent for a bounce-back performance. Detroit, 1-5, has the second-worst record in the NBA.
One glaring issue for the Bucks, that isn’t really their fault, is the injury woes the team is dealing with. Brook Lopez, Khris Middleton, and Jrue Holiday have already been ruled out of this game. Meanwhile, Grayson Allen, Rodney Hood, and Giannis Antetokoumpo are all listed as questionable for tonight’s game. The Bucks have been forced to rely on their bench with mixed results.

Bucks vs. Pistons Prediction and Pick
Even with a depleted roster, and perhaps playing without their best player, I see little chance that the Pistons emerge with a win tonight. The truth is, the Bucks bench and remaining starters are more than capable of beating a young Pistons team full of talent but lacking experience.
The Bucks also need to win this game. I won’t say that this is a “must-win” game because this early in the season that idea is absurd. But, it does not bode well that the reigning champs are struggling to win early on in the year. There is also a chance that Giannis does play tonight. And while I wouldn’t expect him to be 100 percent, just his presence on the court is meaningful.
My call is to take the Bucks -4 and keep your fingers crossed that Giannis is ready to go tonight. If not, I still have faith in this team to beat the Pistons by enough to cover.
Pick: Milwaukee Bucks -4 (-110)
