Bucks vs. Celtics Prediction and Odds for Game 1 (Expect Close Game in Boston)
The first second round matchup is set and it will begin in Boston. The Boston Celtics will host the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 1, with both teams coming off impressive series ending wins in the first round.
The Bucks will be without Khris Middleton for the entire series, which puts the defending champions in a very tough spot. They were able to get past the Chicago Bulls, but they had a myriad of injuries that left them decimated.
Boston’s defense has been its calling card this season and will need it to slow down Giannis Antetokounmpo. This is going to be another tough series for the Celtics. Can they start it off with a win?

Bucks vs. Celtics Prediction and Pick
I understand if you want to ride the Celtics’ bandwagon into Game 1, but this is still Giannis Antetokounmpo we’re talking about. He can put pressure on the Celtics in transition and will truly put their defense to the test.
As great as the Celtics played in the first round, their average margin of victory was 4.5 points. Boston wasn’t blowing out Boston. There is certainly room for improvement on their end and room for Milwaukee to keep it close in Game 1.
The Bucks are going to need big performances from Bobby Portis and Jrue Holiday to force Boston to spread its defense out a little bit. With the rhythm they showed in Game 5 against Chicago, I’m sure they can replicate it against the Celtics.
Lean: Bucks +4.5 (-108)
