The Minnesota Timberwolves are the hottest team in the NBA and will welcome the defending champions into their building tonight. The T-Wolves are making a bee-line up the Western Conference standings and sit only one game behind the Denver Nuggets for the No. 6 seed.

Milwaukee is also trying to make a final push towards a higher seed. The Bucks are 2.5 games back of the Heat for the No. 1 seed in the East. They will be extremely motivated and ready for tonight's game. Which team get the win they need to move up?

Here are the odds for the matchup via WynnBET.

Bucks vs. Timberwolves Prediction and Pick

Over the last 10 games, the Timberwolves have legitimately been the best team in basketball. They have the best offensive, defensive and net rating in the league and have gone 9-1 in the process (the best record in that time).

The Bucks' offense has kept up with Minnesota, but the defense has lacked a little. Milwaukee is 14th in the league in defensive rating in the last 10 games, but it's come out with an 8-2 record.

A lot of talk has come out of the Timberwolves camp after they heckled Russell Westbrook. Karl Anthony-Towns and Patrick Beverly have been standing up for themselves in a very loud way, but I think tonight their words come back to them and Milwaukee humbles them a little bit.

Minnesota is 6-6 against the spread as a home underdog this season, but is 5-7 SU. With the spread being this tight, I'm comfortable trusting the Bucks to win and cover tonight.

Winning nine out of 10 games is hard -- and the Wolves have quality wins in this stretch - -but the last eight games haven't been a murderer's row of opponents. They've played the Blazers twice, Thunder twice, Magic, Spurs and Lakers. Outside of the Lakers -- who are holding onto their playoff spot by a thread -- none of those teams are going to make the playoffs.

I would like to see the Wolves do it against the defending champs.

Lean: Bucks -3 (-110)
