For a second there in Game 1, it looked like the Milwaukee Bucks were going to blow a 16-point lead and give up home court advantage to the Chicago Bulls. The Bucks were able to pull it out, thanks to Brook Lopez and an abundance of bricks from Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan.

That game was much closer than many thought it would be, but the Bulls didn’t gain much confidence from the oddsmakers with the performance.

WynnBET has the Bucks as 10-point favorites, half a point down from their  10.5-point favorite status in Game 1. If you are thinking about taking the other side of things tonight, don’t. The Bulls are not the play. Milwaukee is going to stomp out the Bulls and here is why.

First of all, the Bucks were up by 16 early in this game before they went cold. Milwaukee showed it can blow the Bulls out and that the comeback was just due to poor shooting.

The Bucks shot 40% overall and 26.3% from downtown. Chicago was able to form a wall around Antetokounmpo and live with the results because of that poor shooting. That won’t happen again. At least not tonight. Milwaukee will get back to normal tonight and will see an avalanche of open threes tonight.

Secondly, Khris Middleton had one of his signature off-nights. While his bad games concern me going forward, I’m on his side to bounce back and be a legitimate contributor tonight. He was 4-for-13 in Game 1. If Middleton is a little more efficient, you’ll see Chicago start to scramble defensively.

Milwaukee has beaten the Bulls in 17 of their last 18 meetings. The lone win was in a season finale game in which the Bucks rested all of their starters.

Lastly, the Bulls are led by DeMar DeRozan, who I have little faith in to become the near MVP candidate we’ve grown to see this season. Coming into this postseason, DeRozan is a career 41.8% shooter in the playoffs. If he isn’t going, the Bulls have no chance.

The Bucks played one of their worst games of the season and still won by nearly double-digits. I’m very confident that they will get back on track and win big tonight.
