Buffalo dropped their first MAC game last week to Ohio, but must rebound quickly if they want to stay in shouting distance of a conference championship berth as they head on the road again to face Central Michigan.
It's been a tough season for the Chippewas as they have battled injuries all season, but were able to grab a second MAC win last week against Northern Illinois and now look to play spoiler to a Bulls team that is in a heated MAC East race.
Here are the odds for this Wednesday night MACtion matchup:
Buffalo vs. Central Michigan Odds, Spread and Total
Buffalo vs. Central Michigan Betting Trends
- Buffalo is 6-2-1 against the spread (ATS) this season
- Central Michigan is 3-1 to the UNDER this season
- Central Michigan hasn't covered at home this season (0-3-1)
Buffalo vs. Central Michigan Prediction and Pick
CMU battled four turnovers in the win at Northern Illinois, 35-22, where they outgained the Huskies 451-316.
The team got star running back Lew Nichols back from injury, and he looked great with 28 carries for 92 yards. Overall, the Chips offense is far better with Nichols back on the field, but the team needs to be far more careful with the ball as Buffalo has forced the 12th most turnovers in the country (19).
Buffalo's defense showed some holes in it after getting by facing two backup quarterbacks and winning the turnover battle week after week en route to a five game winning streak, allowing 45 points to Ohio last week on the road.
The Bulls are a play against team as they are 116th in yards per play allowed but are 30th in points allowed per drive. Teams have stumbled over themselves despite winning the yardage battle, but not now. CMU continues their winning ways with a win at home against Buffalo.
