The No. 6 ranked team in the country has a lot of hype behind them heading into the season, and both myself and Reed Wallach have high hopes for them. I placed them near the top of my preseason power rankings, and Reed singled them out as one of his best bets to win the National Championship.
Hunter Dickinson decided to come back to the Wolverines for another season, which immediately made them championship contenders. We'll if they can start their year off with a statement win over a feisty Buffalo team.

Buffalo certainly isn't a bad team by any stretch of the imagination. Jeenathan Williams and Josh Mballa will lead the squad as senior forwards, but they're a far stretch away from being a national contender like Michigan.
Dickinson should be able to do his part in slowing down Williams and Mballa, and the Wolverines' offensive prowess should be able to do the rest. It's time for Michigan to announce their presence to the college basketball world.
