Buffalo vs. UConn Prediction and Odds for Tuesday, November 15 (Trust Huskies to Cruise to Win)

The No. 25 UConn Huskies are looking to move to 3-0 in the 2022-23 season when they host the Buffalo Bulls on Tuesday night. 

This is a tough matchup for a Buffalo team that is playing with a lot of new faces this season, especially after the start it had in its first two games. 

Buffalo squeaked by Colgate in the season opener, but it was blown out by James Madison by 35 points in its second matchup, a huge concern now that it goes on the road against one of the better teams in the country. 

The Bulls are playing the fastest pace in college basketball this season so far, per KenPom, which could be a little problematic for a UConn team that prides itself on playing through the post with Adama Sanogo and dominating on the defensive end.

There’s no way I can get behind this new-look Buffalo team after watching James Madison have its way with the Bulls in their last game. 

UConn is a far superior team talent wise, even though it lost veteran R.J. Cole, Tyrese Martin, Tyler Polley and Isaiah Whaley, who all graduated following last season. 

Jordan Hawkins, Sanogo and Andre Jackson are the engine for this Huskies team, and they are much more talented than the Bulls, especially based on early-season results. 

UConn has handled business against lesser opponents, blowing out Boston University and Stonehill in its first two games. I don’t expect this game to be much different, even if the Huskies want to slow the game down. 

Buffalo may play fast, but it doesn't have superior talent or athletes, which could lead to UConn getting up by a big number quickly. I’ll lay the points with Dan Hurley’s club tonight.
